Spell Check uses wrong language
« on: January 26, 2011, 02:10:55 am »
I would like to see EA UI in english, but I am writing my notes in german.

This is the way we like to work.
But the spell checking, particularly on the notes of an item, is annoying me by underlining everything I write with that red spell checking underline.
 >:(

I have set "Tools -> Spelling" language to german. Restarted EA because of no success. Nothing changed.
I did not have installed the language pack available, because I am happy having the application in english - but my notes an so forth in german.

Any hints would be appreciated.

Sebastian,

I think you'll need the language pack to be able to check spelling in other languages then english. (I don't think it will translate the GUI for you)
see this page in the manual: http://www.sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/8.0/test_and_quality_control/selectlanguage.html

Well, you are right. It does not switch the GUI, thats fine.
Spell checking is german now, GUI is english.

Nevertheless, because we are using many rare or artifical words,
best Alternative for me, would be switching off spell checking, completely.
But I have not found any possibility for doing this.

Tools|Options|Objects
the last checkbox is "Disable Spelling"
