Thank you all for your replies.
I already have RTF templates that prints out scenario steps. I agree with Ian that would be better if EA in future have better connection between scenario structure and elements like Action or Activity.

Anyway to resolve my issue i just used the unused field 'Uses' attribute of the scenario steps to store description.

Hi,

I have use cases with scenarios (strcutured specification). Scenarios has multiple steps.

I have created activity diagram and test scripts based on this scenario steps.

I need to enter descritpion on each individual scenario steps. These description should be in RTF documentation below individual steps as follows:
- Step 1
   Description 1
- step 2
   Description 2

how is it possible to include description of indivual steps in EA?

General Board / Activity Diagram size in RTF Report

Hi,

Activity diagram in RTF report seems to extend the whole page, even if it is less than a page. Currently, in my RTF report i have Header (name of the diagram), diagram itself followed by the caption. the problem is all three published in different page becuase the diagram covers the whole page.

How can i specify that the diagram, its title and caption should appear in the same page?

Hi,

When creating RTF documentation of a model I need to ignore certain (not all) use case diagram.

Is there a way in EA to specify that it should not publish certain (maybe with name) diagrams but while publishing rest of the use case diagrams?

We have glossary in our EA project.  I need to filter out glossry of certain types.

How can I print out glossary of certain types? It currently prints all available glossary entries.

Hi,

This must be simple but....

I have Trigger and issues related to Use Cases. How do I properly model it in EA?

I Added Issue Element from Common tools in Use Case Diagram and created relationship but I cannot publish them in the RTF documentation. How do I do it?

What about trigger? is there a trigger element

i would not favor the use of such screen shots, but you can create a boundary, link it to the Action/Activity and assign the alternate image with the screen shot. Alternative use a Diagram Frame of the specific diagram.

I have a Diagram with screenshots. that means i have to create a diagram frame and link it to the action. what kind of relationship that should be? Trace?

I just would like to link an action with an image, like a note. in case if someone wants to know how does the user interface looks like then he can see it.

Thank you Geert for your quick reference. Works fine.

I will most probably change all activity to action as you mentioned. As I undetstood Action is a part of an Activity. and Activity could be a part of Activity if it itself contains more actions.

BTW, is it possible to link a diagram (screetshot) from an action? the screenshot  is as a diagram in EA.
I would like to be able to reference it so that if necessary i can print it together with activity description or just for reference.

Hi,

In my activity diagram I have both Actions and Activities.

I would like to harmonise and have all same.

Is there a way to change element type 'Action' to 'Activity' or vice versa?
