dragging and dropping isn't creating relationships
« on: March 29, 2012, 02:28:50 pm »
Hi there,

The Sparx tutorial here ( http://www.sparxsystems.com/resources/demos/requirements-management/requirements-modeling.htm ) shows that dragging and dropping requirements into a parent/child structure builds structure that shows up in the Package browser. I assume it also creates links in the relevant requirements etc.

However, when I and my team-mate drag and drop to create these parent/child requirements in the project broswer, the hierarchies are not reflected in the package browser and no links are created in the relevant objects.

Can someone please give us advice as to why this is happening and how we can get it to work properly.

We are using 9.1 Ultimate edition, on a common Oracle repository.

You assumption is wrong. The elements are just moved to the according new parents. If you want additional relations you need to create them manually.

However, having a parent/child relation usually makes a link superfluous.
