Getting packages from version control repository
« on: January 14, 2004, 10:50:59 am »
OK, I've set up version control in Project A, with a VSS Project and a local VSS folder. I've registered one package with version control and checked it in. I can check it in and out fine. I see the XML file within VSS and in my local folder.

Now I've created a new Project B, registered it with Version Control (same VSS Project, different local VSS folder).

When I go to Get Package from Project B, it gives me an EMPTY list of shared packages. I can't see the checked-in package at all.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi all.

>>When I go to Get Package from Project B, it gives me an EMPTY list of shared packages. I can't see the checked-in package at all.

When i follow the same steps with Jalindi Igloo seems to works. All shared packages are shown.

The same problem you described happened with Subway and ActiveCVS plug-ins. With VSS i did not try to check becouse have not Visual Source Safe.

My question is what plug-ins you recommend me for using Version Control in EA using CVS.

Good luck
