« on: August 06, 2009, 10:55:19 pm »

When connactin with TOAD all work fine, but when tring though EA i get "unable to obtain table information". I created a use connection through ODBC and tested it and it connected succesfully.

Hi Martin,

Did you explicitly specify the client-side ODBC driver supplied by Oracle when you connected from EA? Many users have reported problems when using the Microsoft driver. This happens even when they can connect to the Oracle database with the MS driver outside of EA.
No, you can't have it!

I installed Oracle 10.2 driver and was using it. For Toad it works fine, for EA not :(

Thanks for the help...

Check your Oracle privileges to the schema very carefully. Make sure you are allowed to write to the schema. [I do not think EA tries to do so, but IIRC it used to balk if it could not access the database with write privilege.]
