WAN Optimizer

I found the WAN Optimizer setup file. I have also looked in the help file.

I would like to find the instructions for setting up the WAN Optimizer. I am sure I had copy a long time ago but I can't find it.

If you have installed the WAN Optimizer, there should be a copy of the user guide PDF file in the Admin subdirectory (E.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Sparx Systems\WAN Optimizer\Admin).

You may also be interested to learn more about the new Cloud Services functionality being introduced in EA 11 which will provide further enhancements to the performance and security of connections over WAN.

If I install the WAN Optimizer do I still have the choice of connecting directly to db without the WAN Optimizer?

Yes, you can still connect directly to the database from EA without specifying the WAN Optimizer.  The WAN Optimizer is not a replacement for the direct database connection.
