Doreen Evans Associates Announces Partnership with Sparx Systems

Boston, Massachusetts USA – December 15, 2008 – Doreen Evans Associates, Inc a professional services firm committed to Business Analysis excellence announces a strategic partnership with Sparx Systems developer of the Enterprise Architect modeling tool.

Doreen Evans Associates (DEA) has entered into this partnership to offer their clients improved quality and success in their software development projects. Doreen Evans, President of DEA, says:

“We’ve worked with many modeling tools over the past 20 years and have chosen Enterprise Architect because it is flexible, robust and affordable. Sparx Systems has built a solid reputation as a leading edge provider of Unified Modeling Language modeling tools and has built Enterprise Architect to be compliant not only with UML but with a variety of frameworks and notations. The tool’s adaptability and flexibility, along with its full repository, make it an ideal tool for our business analysts to use as they engage in project work.”

In support of this new partnership, DEA is working to develop standards, procedures and training that allow the implementation of Enterprise Architect at the enterprise level as well as at the individual consultant level. These offerings will provide the infrastructure to ensure large-scale and cross-organization projects deliver results that are consistent in quality, content and level of detail. DEA is also tailoring the tool to expand some of its basic functionality so that, for example, early, high-level requirements can be used to support end-of-project needs such as user acceptance testing.

The benefit of the partnership between DEA and Sparx Systems will be realized in the marriage of the quality tool provided by Sparx Systems in Enterprise Architect and the proven procedures of Doreen Evans Associates.

“Our decision to partner with DEA is based on the company’s depth of experience in helping organizations to effectively deploy model-driven approaches over the last 20 years” explained Sparx Systems Chief Information Officer, Tom O'Reilly. “We believe DEA’s hands-on project experience will greatly benefit our customers in deploying Enterprise Architect."
