CEN/TC 287 Geographic information: AWARD for Excellence in INSPIRE – 2012

This award was installed in 2010 and the inaugural award was presented Ecole Centrale de Nantes at the INSPIRE Conference in Edinburgh in June 2011. The 2012 INSPIRE Conference will be held in June 23-27, 2012 in Istanbul, Turkey.

The Award is open to all students who are undertaking a development or research project in geospatial information. It aims to promote academic excellence within the European geospatial community, specifically in development of interoperability standards. The winner received €2,000 and their academic mentor €1,000.
