Missing column comments importing Mysql schema
« on: January 27, 2007, 02:13:31 am »
The issue of missing table and column comments generating mysql DDL was fixed in Version 6.5 - Released (Build 797).
But what about the issue of missing column comments importing schema from Mysql ODBC ?
I tried with EA version 6.5 build 803/Mysql 4.0.27 and 5.0.27/ODBC v3.51 and v5.0. And I was not able to retrieve any columns comment in documentation notes...
Is it a known bug ?
Thanks for your help

Hi there,

Do you know if this issue has been solved in the last release?

Another feature I don't know about is if EA can reverse a DB from an SQL script. at least I haven't find this feature at the moment.

Can you tell me so EA team?

Greetings

The release notes for build 803 include:
Quote
- Numerous fixes for MySQL ODBC import errors, including default values.

Perhaps your concern was answered among these fixes. There have been other MySQL tweaks since 797 as well.

Bottom line: you should check to see if your specific concerns were addressed.

Build notes are in the Latest News forum section, and http://www.sparxsystems.com.au/products/ea_history.html.
No, you can't have it!
