I had gray scale switched to fade...made sure I had no diagram filtering selected...still no success.

I wanted to send a screen capture of my class diagram with context filter on, but I do not know how to add an image that is on my desktop.  Is this something that is allowed on this forum.  If so how do I do it?

Can you send me an example...My diagram is very simple and still not working.  I am using version 10 of EA.  I have tried several time by selecting the context filter off the menu from a right click, or by selecting it from the toolbar.  Nothing works...The class is always selected for edit

Hi,
Does context filtering only work for certain types of associations/relationships?  Or do you have to be in a certain Mode of operation.  I have class diagrams with composition/ aggregation connectors and when I put context filter on and select a class, the class is highlighted (with border box).  I expected the classes that were not related to gray out, but instead the class I select is simply highlighted for edit.  Am I using this feature wrong?

General Board / Re: Import (reverse engineer) IDL files

Thank you for all your support to date.  I installed the technology via the extension menu.  IDL now shows up in the list when I attempt to reverse engineer, however, no file time is presented in the file extension dropdown.  I navigated to the directory containing the IDL, click ok but nothing happened.   Any other steps I may have missed?

I Installed the Corba add in...restarted EA, but do not see an option for IDL/Corba in the reverse engineering Tool.  Is there something else I need to do?

I could not find an option to import Interface Definition Language files under tool->Source Code Engineering->Import Source Directory
If there is not a direct way to do this, does anyone have a work around?

General Board / Context Reference hyperlink does not display

Hi,
I created a context reference to a model element in a structured scenario, however, there is no hyperlink providing a cotnext menu to the item that is a context reference.  I followed the steps in the webinar to create the link.  Is there a switch/option I need to turn on?  I saved, closed and reopened the model.  I created the original model using EA 10 trial...now working with EA 10 corporate version.

Thank you.  I was trying to use a very basic element type that supported composition to provide hierarchical process guidelines.  I am attempting to use EA to include process within the model to make it easier for the engineers etc. Are there any other modeling elements that are as clean and simple as mind maps that support composites?

I am using version 10  (trial) I imported requirements from DOORs.
Why are requirements tab colors not set/changing when I change the status of a requirement?
 The requirements are hierarchical...  
I want to pull all the requirements I imported into one diagram quickly… if I have the hierarchy opened in the project browser and select the requirements from the project browser, only the top of the hierarchy is selected and pulled onto the diagram.  
Also  the Paste Element dialog shows up for each requirement...cumbersome. Is there any way to stop this dialog from popping up when pasting multiple elements.
Is there anyway to send link/attribute information back t DOORs (i.e. a link to a Use Case or Test case in EA?
I am also using SYSML extension/add on

Thanks, I ran the check (report only at first) ...it had orphaned stereotypes.  Was unable to investigate further which was a bit disconcerting.  It was a test model so I didn't mind letting it clean up, but I would not feel comfortable selecting that option unless I could drill down and verify some of the issue.  Is there a way to do that?
I have a couple of questions about Stereo type icons also...should I start a new topic?  (I'm new to the forum)

Hi All,
Both approaches work...in a brand new .eap project.  I am suspicious of a couple of things...
In the first model I was working with (the one that had the problem) i also had a checkbox tagged value with an option for KC135.  I am wondering if it was some sort of naming collision or even order of creation issue.  
I went back to the problem project and got it to work...
I changed KC135 in the tagged value checkbox list to KC5 then recreated the stereotype...That worked
Then I reset the tagged value checkbox item to KC135 all is well.  
Not sure what the issue was here...may try to recreate it in a brand new model later. Thanks again..
