Rapid modeling with EA's in-place editor...

You can quickly create new attributes and operations directly from a diagram!

  • Select an element in the current diagram
  • To create a new attribute, press Ctrl+Shift+F9
  • To create a new operation, press Ctrl+Shift+F10
  • Modify the name, type, scope and other details, or simply hit Ctrl+Enter to accept the current entry and add another
  • You can edit existing attributes and operations in this way, simply by selecting them and hitting F2

Traceability a concern? Try EA's Hierarchy View...

The Hierarchy View provides a convenient, graphical depiction of the relationships defined for a selected element.

  • Select an element in the Project View or the current diagram
  • Open the Hierarchy View from the menu : View | Other Windows Hierarchy or simply hit Ctrl+Shift+F4
  • Navigate the relationships to see which elements might be impacted by a given change
  • Try combining this with the results of a model search as a powerful impact analysis utility
