Enterprise Architect 10 - Build 1009 Released

Sparx Systems is pleased to announce the release of Enterprise Architect 10, Build 1009. This latest build provides support for MySQL 5.6 and provides a number of enhancements to ArcGIS and Diagram frames.

New Enterprise Business Framework Tools for the Insurance Industry

Sparx Systems and Insurance Frameworks have partnered together to provide business frameworks, incorporating baseline business activities characteristic of the insurance industry. The framework, originally a 400-page paper document, has now been converted into a digital format compatible with Enterprise Architect. This allows enterprise architects to automatically track changes to the plan in real time, and share the model with collaborators and team members located anywhere in the world.

Frameworx4EA

Sparx Systems' Swiss partner Smartrek, has developed Frameworx4EA, an implementation in Enterprise Architect of TM Forum's integrated business architecture - Frameworx. Frameworx enables performance assessment and optimization of business operations using a proven, service-oriented approach to operations and integration.
Currently included in the Smartek Frameworx4EA is:

  • eTOM the Business Process Framework, a comprehensive, industry-agreed, multi-layered view of the key business processes required to run an efficient, effective and agile enterprise.
  • TAM, the Application Framework which provides a common language for communities who specify, procure, design, and sell operation and business support systems.

SID the Information Framework provides a reference model and common vocabulary for the information required to implement Business Process Framework (eTOM) processes will be available soon.
